The Tulip Bed - an English Folk Tale

April Craft-a-Tale Box Photo Gallery

Assemble Egg Fairy Garden base as shown. Use tape to hold in place, as regular glue will not hold. A curled piece of duct tape will do the trick! Your garden is ready to decorate! Fill with moss. Open the large silk tulip as your fairy baby bed -- to place your fairy baby in! Decorate!

Decorate felt leaf with embroidery stitches. A series of French Knots is easy and will look like polka-dots. The first picture shows the leaf on the front side with french knots; the 2nd picture shows the back side which will look messy. It is okay, as this will not be seen. Lay the baby on the back side, and then wrap the leaf around your fairy baby. Now only the good side shows! French knots are easy to learn -- click into the link below for some extra instructions!

This month you have two twig crafts. Using natural items found in the woods is what fairies like best! Decorate your twig ladder and lean up against your egg garden -- even though fairies can fly, sometimes they like to perch -- like birds. This gives your favorite pixies a place to land when peeking in on their babies!
