Crochet Flower Crown
These fairy lanterns are the perfect decoration for your fairy table! Follow the video instructions. above First, spread glue in a THIN layer on the inside of your jar where you want to put your fairy silhouette. Next, spread a THIN layer on the FRONT side of your fairy cut-out. The glue will dry clear, but try not to clump the glue on the glass -- try to keep it in a smooth, thin layer. Place the glued cut-out onto the glued jar and place as desired. Let dry completely. Decorate the top of the jar with ribbon, gems and string provided, as desired, Add your candle. These look magical at night!
There are 5 little papers included in this month's box. Using a plastic bag or other protective covering, place a blank piece of paper in the middle of your bag on an outside surface. Since the bubbles have food coloring added, these can lightly stain, so just cover any surface that you don't want these colorful bubbles to 'pop' on. Blow directly onto the paper -- some will fly away -- some will pop over the paper (sprinkling color) -- and the best ones will land right on the paper before they pop, leaving a colorful circle. Watch the short video as shown. When enough bubbles have popped, set aside to dry. Try another blank piece of paper and pop more bubbles. Allow all the bubble art papers to dry completely. Use these bubble art papers to make cards, invitations and more. Once dry, you can use stamps to decorate a picture on it and color with colored pencils.
In a past box, you learned how to finger crochet. This craft uses that skill again. If you didn't learn before, please watch this video for this simple finger yarn craft. This time you will be using TWO STRANDS of yarn instead of just one. You can also google 'finger crochet' for other instructional videos. Practice, practice, practic. When ready, crochet a chain link (as shown) long enough to go around the crown of your head. Then thread with ribbon and decorate with flowers as shown! This crown is perfect to weave fresh flowers through to make a natural crown. Celebrate a fairy wedding!
Bubble Recipe
Need more bubbles? Make your own:
2 cups warm water
1/3 cup dish detergent (Dawn)
1/4 cup corn syrup
Mix together -- add a few drop of food coloring if you want to make more bubble 'paint'.
